**Job Description** * This role is specific to child death related matters and complex witness statement preparation is required. * The Inquests, Inquiries and Representation practice group within the Legal branch performs a broad range of work, including: 1. Assisting Coroners in significant and high-profile inquests and inquiries 2. Representing the Department in inquiries generally, including the representation of the Commissioner of Corrective Services NSW in coronial inquests into deaths in custody 3. Representing witnesses appearing before investigatory bodies such as the Independent Commission Against Corruption and the Law Enforcement Conduct Commission/li> About this Role This job involves working on complex legal cases particularly concerning child death. The position requires assisting with court hearings, preparing legal documents, providing advice to clients or senior management staff. You are an accomplished lawyer with experience & skills relevant to representing children who have experienced family violence.
