The organisation designs, builds and delivers specialised processing equipment and engineered plant systems for industrial customers across a range of processing and manufacturing environments. The Role
Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of projects, the business is seeking both Senior and Junior Sales Engineers to join the team. These roles sit at the front end of the business, converting customer enquiries and project opportunities into engineered processing solutions. The positions bridge engineering capability with commercial judgement, ensuring plant designs are both technically robust and commercially viable.
Working closely with leadership and engineering teams, you will develop process concepts, support system layouts and produce detailed project costings before transitioning projects into delivery. The role plays a critical part in protecting margin, managing technical risk and ensuring each project is commercially sound before contracts are finalised.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop engineered process concepts for client projects
* Support 3D system layouts and concept modelling
* Select equipment and define system configurations
* Prepare detailed project costings and quotations
* Identify technical and commercial risk prior to contract commitment
* Support contract negotiation and project clarification
* Coordinate structured handover into engineering and project delivery
Skills and Experience: We are open to candidates at different stages of their careers.
The Junior Sales Engineer role will suit an engineer with a few years of industry experience who is commercially curious and interested in moving into a technical sales environment.
The Senior Sales Engineer role will suit an experienced professional who is comfortable developing engineered solutions, quoting complex projects and managing commercial discussions with clients.
Key Requirements
* Mechanical, process or industrial engineering background
* Experience within capital equipment, industrial plant or manufacturing environments
* Exposure to project costing, quoting or technical sales
* Experience using SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor or comparable CAD platforms
* Strong sales experience, and commercial judgement and margin awareness
* Ability to work directly with customers to develop engineered solutions
* Comfortable operating autonomously within a fast‐paced engineering environment
