Design Manager Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Design Manager to contribute to the design of customer-friendly, engaging, and functional digital experiences. This is a key role that will bridge the gap between our online and physical retail entities.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing user-centred solutions using design thinking methodologies and techniques. This will involve conducting heuristic reviews of existing workflows and documenting recommendations for improvements. Additionally, they will plan and conduct UX research to seek insights into customer behaviour and needs. They must also validate design decisions and concepts with data and user testing. Other key responsibilities include identifying and troubleshooting UX problems, illustrating design ideas using storyboards, process flows, prototypes, and UI designs, and liaising and presenting work to get buy-in on project initiatives with internal stakeholders. Furthermore, they will work with product managers, product owners, and engineers to gather and evaluate requirements, collaborate with other designers to ensure consistent customer experience across a range of products, and champion Experience Design with organisational stakeholders.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have 2+ years' experience as a UX/UI or Product Designer, strong skills in foundational UX/UI design, experience in both qualitative and quantitative research and analysis, thorough understanding of digital technologies and trends, and experience using and contributing to a design system.
