Opportunity
Lead primary care reform across southern Australia. This is a rare and highly influential opportunity to lead the PHN Southern Alliance, a collaboration of eight primary health networks across Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania.
As General Manager, you will work at the forefront of national health reform, partnering with PHN CEOs, government and sector leaders to drive coordinated strategy, advocacy and system-wide impact.
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic planning, governance and cross-jurisdictional coordination.
- Provide high level policy, programme and advocacy advice to CEOs and government stakeholders.
- Drive collaboration across eight PHNs to deliver national and state-level initiatives.
- Influence primary care reform and sector direction through strong stakeholder engagement.
- Represent the Alliance in key forums with government, peak bodies and partners.
- Oversee shared projects, funding and performance outcomes.
- Strengthen the Alliance's role as a thought leader and collective voice in primary care.
About you
You are a highly credible and strategic leader with experience operating in complex systems and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Tertiary qualifications in health public policy, management or a related field.
- Significant senior experience in policy, strategy or programme leadership (ideally within healthcare or primary care).
- Proven ability to influence government, executives and diverse stakeholders.
- Strong capability in strategic thinking, governance and system-level leadership.
- Experience leading cross-organisation collaboration and reform initiatives.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and advocacy skills.
- Ability to navigate complexity, drive change and deliver results.
- Shape the future of primary healthcare across three states.
- Work directly with PHN CEOs and national stakeholders.
- Contribute to meaningful health outcomes for communities.
