Working with this established client, you have a unique opportunity to directly contribute to Australian Sovereign capability, coming in at the start, to see through this landmark project to completion. You will be with the foundation team, where every day will not be the same, and you will get to work on being part of something truly ground-breaking.
Ground Control Station Engineer duties will include but not limited to:
* Systems design and integration - integrating GCS that manage UAS and ensuring communication and control between UAS and ground station
* Testing and validation
* Hardware and software development - maintaining components of the GCS
* Support and maintenance for deployed systems, including troubleshooting and upgrading
What you'll need to succeed

Demonstrated experience within a defence project environment and uncrewed aircraft systems will be highly regarded.
Experience in:
* Degree qualification in Aerospace, Electrical or Controls Engineering or relevant fields
* Skills in conducting rigorous testing and validation of control systems
* Experience in integrating hardware and software components for communication systems and user interface
* Hands-on experience in a related field - aerospace and defence highly regarded
N.B. You will be required to work in the office 5 days a week due to the nature of the project.
We welcome applications from candidates from all backgrounds and experience. However, due to the defence orientation of this role, the successful candidate must be eligible to obtain an appropriate level of Defence Security Clearance for the role, as defined in the AGSVA guidelines.
