About the role
Based in Melbourne and reporting to the Managing Director, this senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing all business functions across Victoria and Tasmania.
You will take ownership of business performance, with a strong focus on driving sales and service growth, warehousing and distribution operations, and strengthening customer relations.
* Develop and execute strategies to drive profitable sales growth
* Oversee financial performance; P&L, inventory management, and operating costs
* Drive a positive, high performing culture focused on service and operational excellence
* Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
* Lead and develop a team (direct and broader team leadership)
* Contribute to broader strategic initiatives across the group
About you
You are an experienced senior leader with a proven ability to drive sales and revenue growth and deliver strong commercial outcomes. You have proven experience at General Manager or State Manager level with full P&L accountability, strong commercial acumen and business development expertise.
You possess strong strategic planning skills.
You are happy to roll your sleeves up and apply a hands‐on approach.
You are excellent at building relationships with clients, suppliers, and employees.
You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
You are innately practical, proactive, and solutions‐focused.
You are confident managing employee relations and workplace safety (OH&S).
You have a technical background and mindset.
You have strong experience in business restructuring and outsourcing.
You have sound change management skills.
You are highly proficient with IT systems and applications, including Microsoft 365 and CRM tools.
