Our client is Australia's leading peer-led youth trauma recovery organisation, dedicated to supporting at-risk youth aged Their mission is to empower young people by fostering healing and resilience through shared experiences. They do this by creating safe spaces, where young people with lived experience support each other to heal from trauma, make meaningful peer connections, improve mental wellbeing and overcome life challenges.

About the role

As the Social Worker for the Darling Downs region from Tara to Gatton, you will play an integral role in the organisations ability to support at risk young people through their peer-developed programs. The program is delivered with youth, supported by expert adults and is centred around individual support, weekend workshops, and weekly support groups.

Your responsibilities may include:

* Provide effective case management for up to 60 young people per year
* Work closely and collaboratively within community, referring agencies and service providers
* Ensure that KPIs for the region are being met through case management, Weekend Workshops and support groups
* Provide high-quality safe and effective support to young people, within the context of policies, procedures, and legislation
* Attend regular supervision sessions and meetings necessary with the Team Lead and Regional Manager
* Participate in supervision (operational and clinical) to ensure that a high-level of practice is delivered and maintained
* Attend all Weekend Workshops and Weekly Support Groups, supporting the young people in your region
* Maintain high standards in the record keeping of client records, ensuring that case records are kept up to date and are accurate.
* Undertake risk assessments on young people and provide appropriate follow-up and intervention

About you

As an experienced and passionate social worker with a passion for working with youth, you will be proactive and driven with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.

To be considered for this role, you will need to have the following attributes as a minimum:

* Eligibility for registration with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) ((preferred))
* 2+ years' experience working with vulnerable populations within a case management lens
* Sound knowledge of the challenges and issues experienced by young people affected by trauma
* Strong communication skills with experience developing community networks and establish/increase community engagement
* Sound risk assessment skills including but not limited to suicide risk, psychological distress and mandatory reporting
* Experience working within a multidisciplinary team
* Strong written skills and experience using case record management systems

This position has the following essential requirements for the role.

* National Police Check
* Full NSW Drivers License
* WWCC
* Current First Aid
