Overview
We are seeking a motivated Causal Yard attendant to join our team. In this role, The Casual Yard Attendant – Northam Depot reporting to the Operations Supervisor, is a role providing essential support to ensure the Northam Depot is maintained and the employees are supported in mobilisation and demobilisation.

Hours
Approximately 15 hours per week (not guaranteed) would suit a very fit senior who is winding down but still likes to be busy. Must be able to start early in the mornings.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure the Depot is kept in clean, neat and safe condition
* Place bins out fortnightly for council pick up
* Ensure signage is packed and ready for upcoming works and assist crews with loading and unloading
* Ensure crew clean vehicles and remove all rubbish when de-mobilising and assist where necessary
* Advise and liaise with the Operations Supervisor and advise of any problems with vehicles and signage
* Oversee crews signing in before mobilisation and monitor breathalysing
* Be able to start early in the mornings when required
To succeed in this role you will
* Be physically fit and capable of manual tasks involved in loading, unloading and equipment preparation
* Be proactive, hands-on worker who enjoys variety
* Hold a current C Class Drivers Licence
* Understand safety management systems, practices and procedures
* Have experience in multi-tasking, prioritising and working to timeframes
* Have strong communication skills to ensure the jobs get done
* Have a friendly personality, and be strongly self-motivated
