**About the role**
This role will involve assisting in dispensing and medication distributionservices provided by the Grampians Health Ballarat Pharmacy team. Being a casual role it offers flexibility in the days worked, and the opportunity to gain experience in a hospital setting.
Remuneration will be award-based according to experience.
**Key Responsibilities**
- The role consists of providing support in several areas which may include but not limited to:
- Dispensary (dispensing of inpatient, outpatient and discharge medications) and where appropriate compounding and clinical trials-related assistance;
- Distribution of stock to ward areas including pre-packing;
- Other technical duties (e.g. purchasing, pharmacy store, COVID-vaccine logistics and deliveries) to assist in the day to day functioning of pharmacy department.
**Skills and experience**
- Successful completion of an accredited Technician qualification or equivalent; e.g. Certificate III in Health Service Assistance (Hospital Pharmacy Technician) or equivalent qualification as approved by AHPRA
- Experience as a dispensary assistant or pharmacy technician in undertaking a range of dispensary tasks.
