Weare currently seeking a dedicated and experienced individual for the positionof Permanent Part Time Services - Domestic in our Team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene inourResidential care facilities based in Youngtown, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable environment for our residents and staff.
The Opportunity
TheService employee- Domesticis responsible for conducting a broad range of cleaning activities under the general direction of the Facility Manager.
Key Responsibilities
* To ensure a safe work environment by adopting safe work practices.
* Maintain good working relationships with staff, residents and families.
* To work within the mission statement and philosophy of Southern Cross Care (Tasmania) Inc. to achieve the highest possible standard of care for residents.
* Always maintain and respect employee, consumer and organisational confidentiality.
* Actively participate in meetings and discussions in a constructive manner.
* Communicate with consumers and colleagues in a kind and caring manner, taking into account individual cultural and religious preferences.
* Work as part of a busy team and be supportive of other team members.
* Prioritise workload and use care resources effectively and efficiently.
* Adhere to legislation pertaining to privacy and confidentiality and handling of personal information.
* Time management and organisational skills to perform at the required standard.
* Good physical health.
* Ability to work in a diverse team.
* Satisfactory national police check within the last three months or the ability to obtain one.
* Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People registration with NDIS endorsement or the ability to obtain.
* Satisfactory evidence of working rights in Australia.
