You'll be working at Oakey Beef Exports, one of Australia's largest beef processing plants. THE OPPORTUNITY 2 X 2IC LEADING HANDS NIGHT CLEANING
Reporting to The Senior Cleaning Supervisor
We are currently seeking two leading hand 2ic's for our modern high-tech Fresh Meat Producing Factory. This role will involve supporting the head supervisor with monitoring the current team of industrial cleaners ensuring all company hygiene and safety policies associated with an export red meat processing plant are met in a timely manner.
ABOUT YOU
We're looking for someone who has some experience in industrial cleaning, able to promote safety and teamwork and has some knowledge of Hygiene policies and procedures associated with the meat industry.
You should possess the ability to produce quality outcomes and ideas that enhance the overall effectiveness of a department that has a manning of up to 50 workers.
Ideally, candidates with the following attributes are encouraged to apply:
Experience in the meat industry (desirable)
Good communication and people skills
Knowledge of food safety hygiene procedures
Awareness of company OH&S policies
· Ability to promote compliance of company policies and procedures in a reasonable manner.
· Encourage and develop other employees.
Skills required for this position.
· Ideally have some experience in industrial.
· Good communication skills to liaise with management and fellow team members.
· Able to promote and police all company policies in a reasonable manner.
· Have an understanding of Quality Assurance and Hygiene requirements.
· Have sound problem solving skills and basic computer skills.
· Have a desire to mentor and train new employees.
· Able to adjust to extra production hours when needed.
This is a full time Monday to Friday 38.00-hour week position.
3.00pm start to 11.15pm finish
Payment of wages and condition under current Enterprise Agreement.
Leading hand and shift allowance applies.
