Maintenance Fabrication Tradesperson Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled tradesperson to join our production team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing plant equipment, fabricating metal components, and ensuring the smooth operation of our production facility.
Key Responsibilities:
* Fabricate, assemble, and install components in stainless steel as well as mild steel, aluminium and other materials.
* Read and interpret engineered drawings and technical specifications with precision.
* Perform TIG/MIG and stick welding, cutting, grinding and finishing to high-quality food grade standards.
* Carry out small repairs, modifications, and custom builds across a variety of fabrication projects.
* Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to meet deadlines and production needs including breakdowns.
* Ensure compliance with workplace safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
* Demonstrate flexibility by providing support in mechanical fitting duties during periods of reduced staffing.
* Proficient in executing structural and load-bearing welds to ensure strength, durability, and safety.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in stainless steel fabrication and welding, with versatility across other metals.
Requirements:
* Trade qualification in fabrication, welding or related field.
* Knowledge of fabrication techniques, finishing processes, and industry best practices.
* Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
