The Role
Century Yuasa Batteries has an opportunity for a skilled and motivated person who takes pride in their work and has the drive to succeed. You will take charge of our Rockhampton Distribution Centre, managing a small warehouse team to support our three core business units in distribution throughout the Rockhampton region. You will be responsible for ensuring stock management, scheduling (work-load leveling), visual and product kitting and quality are optimally maintained to achieve operational performance within budget. This role will work closely with the Automotive Sales team based in Rockhampton and with other stakeholders across the business.
You will need to have the ability to understand customer's needs and deliver superior customer service, as well as being able to work cross-functionally and autonomously.
Building and managing internal relationships is key, ensuring the goals of the broader business are maintained.
Other requirements for the position include:
* 3+ Years Warehousing Management experience
* Hold a certificate IV in warehousing (or similar)
* Current High Reach Forklift License
* Experience in Lean and 6S Warehousing
* Strong Communication, Computer and Time Management skills
* Strong attention to detail and decision making skills
* Knowledge of material handling systems
* Previous leadership experience
Desirable
* HC License
* Background in the freight or automotive industry
* Tertiary qualifications in Distribution or Logistics
