In this dynamic role, you'll help shape the future of our city by delivering high-quality planning services and ensuring development aligns with our statutory frameworks.
What you'll be doing:
* Providing clear, professional advice on planning matters.
* Leading compliance investigations, site inspections and follow-up actions.
* Assessing development applications and preparing well-reasoned recommendations.
* Building strong relationships with landowners, colleagues and stakeholders.
* Supporting a responsive, customer-focused Planning Services team.
What we're looking for:
* Experience in planning and/or planning compliance.
* Strong knowledge of planning legislation and local government processes.
* Excellent communication, problem-solving and time-management skills.
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
* Tertiary qualifications in planning (desirable) and a current C-class driver's licence.
What you'll need:
* Planning and/or planning compliance experience.
* Tertiary qualification in land use planning, or an acceptable related course of study desirable.
* Current C class driver's licence.
* National (or Federal) Police Certificate (no more than 6 months old).
