About the Role
NQM Gold 2 is currently seeking a skilled and safety-focused Underground Electrician to join our Underground Maintenance team at our Pajingo operations. Reporting to the Underground Electrical Supervisor, this hands-on role is responsible for the maintenance, repairs, and installation of electrical infrastructure in an underground mining environment.
This is a permanent full-time position operating on a 7 days on / 7 days off roster - ideal for those looking to balance a rewarding career with lifestyle flexibility.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain and repair underground electrical infrastructure and equipment.
* Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and breakdown repairs.
* Ensure all work is compliant with statutory and company standards.
* Fault finding and diagnostics on SCADA, HMI, and PLC systems.
* Support and supervise contractors as required.
* Identify and report hazards, contributing to continuous safety improvements.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Essential:
* Australian recognised Electrical Trade Qualification.
* Minimum 3 years' experience in underground maintenance electrical work.
* Strong understanding of high voltage switching and permitting systems.
* Experience with Sandvik and Epiroc underground drills.
* Proficiency with leaky feeder communications and telemetry systems.
* Solid problem-solving skills and ability to work in a small, dynamic team.
* Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and quality standards.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Highly Regarded:
* Exposure to SAP or other maintenance management systems.
* Previous mining or heavy industrial experience.
