The Pre-Sales Architect is a seasoned subject matter expert, primarily responsible for consulting with clients and working with internal teams to create strategies, transformational designs, and the architectural vision for complex solutions that address the clients’ needs.
This is a pre-sales role which involves engaging with clients alongside the Security Sales Specialist. We are seeking a Security Architect with experience supporting at least 3 key practice domains such as Network Security & SASE, Cloud Security, App & Data Security, Workplace Security, OT/ICS Security, and Security Operations.
This role provides multi-technology consulting services on application software, infrastructure, and related technology components.
Australian Citizen with NV1 Security Clearance required
Responsibilities include:
* Contributing to the development of complex security solution architectures
* Evaluating alternative architectures considering cost, performance, and scalability
* Acting as a security SME, understanding the threat landscape and architectural solutions, and presenting to stakeholders
* Recommending security solutions based on client needs, delivering proposals, and creating bills of materials
* Developing security reference architectures for various verticals
* Staying current with security standards, regulations, and best practices
* Supporting cybersecurity go-to-market strategies and marketing campaigns
* Preparing technical plans and ensuring compliance with architecture standards
* Monitoring emerging technologies and designing solutions using modeling techniques
* Creating design views for stakeholders, including proof of concepts
* Recommending new services and contributing knowledge on industry verticals
* Working across technical levels to develop integrated solutions
* Supporting proposals, RFPs, and large bids as a security SME
* Learning new skills and acting as a trusted cybersecurity advisor to clients
* Collaborating with sales during client engagements
Ideal candidate profile:
* 7-10 years of experience in cybersecurity pre-sales architecture
* At least 5 years as a Security Architect, preferably in a pre-sales role within a systems integrator
* Hands-on experience with Tier-1 security solutions
* Support experience in 3 of the key domains listed above
* Strong problem-solving, presentation, and communication skills
* Experience in client engagement, needs assessment, and change management
* Knowledge of security frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, SABSA
* Understanding of deployment methodologies for infrastructures and applications
* Ability to develop and leverage reference architectures
* Awareness of industry trends and emerging technologies
