Job Description:
This is an entry-level position as a skilled labourer in a local government team. As a skilled labourer, you will be responsible for performing various general and skilled labouring duties. This includes assisting in the delivery of water and wastewater services, operating plant and machinery, and carrying out other tasks as required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carrying out a variety of general and skilled labouring duties
* Assisting in the delivery of water and wastewater services
* Operating plant and machinery
Working Environment:
* A 38-hour working week over a 9-day fortnight
* Access to 6.5 weeks long service leave after 5 years
* 4 weeks paid annual leave
* Access to 3 weeks sick leave per year, cumulative where unused
* Access to 2 health and wellbeing days (taken from sick leave entitlements)
* Adverse working conditions allowance
* Guaranteed salary increase of 3% in July 2025
* Superannuation increase from 11% to 12% in July 2025
