Lead Electrical Technician

In this role, you will oversee a team of 8 technicians, taking responsibility for the safe, efficient, and reliable operations of the site's solar infrastructure. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role in clean energy delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to a team of Electrical Technicians
* Oversee and coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance on solar farm infrastructure and equipment
* Lead troubleshooting and repair activities across electrical systems and components
* Plan and supervise safe operational procedures, including high voltage switching
* Manage contractor and internal team interactions to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
* Oversee after-hours on-call support as part of a rotating roster
* Ensure accurate and timely completion of work orders, maintenance records, and documentation
* Maintain high standards of workshop organisation, tooling, and equipment readiness
* Monitor and manage inventory levels for tools, spare parts, and consumables
About You:
* Trade qualification in electrical or equivalent technical training
* Proven leadership or supervisory experience within electrical maintenance, power generation, or renewable energy
* Strong understanding of safe work practices, with a proactive and safety-first approach
* Effective communicator with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a team
* Experience with maintenance systems (e.g., Maximo, Enablon) is an advantage
* HV Electrical Switching certificate (or ability to obtain)
* Working knowledge of installation, maintenance, and instrumentation systems
