About The Role
Eureka Village Kin Kora is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Grounds & Maintenance Officer to join our on-site team. In this role, you will be responsible for the upkeep, presentation, and safety of the village's outdoor areas, ensuring a welcoming and enjoyable environment for our residents and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and care for outdoor spaces including lawns, gardens, landscaped areas, pathways, and recreational zones.
Perform routine cleaning such as rubbish removal, debris clearing, and general outdoor tidiness.
Inspect, maintain, and operate outdoor equipment, gardening tools, and irrigation systems.
Identify and address hazards (e.g., trip points, overgrown vegetation) to ensure a safe environment.
Respond proactively to ad‑hoc maintenance requests from residents and the Village Manager.
About You
Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or horticulture, with knowledge of plant care and outdoor maintenance.
Familiarity with the use and maintenance of gardening tools, lawnmowers, and other outdoor equipment.
Strong knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to outdoor work and the use of relevant chemicals or machinery.
The ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions and environments.
Able to satisfy all required pre-employment checks, including completing a National Police History Check.

Demonstrates flexibility in adjusting to shifting priorities, changing weather conditions, seasonal workflow variations, and unforeseen maintenance issues.
Competently perform a dual role for both groundskeeping and general maintenance duties, ensuring the park is presented to a high standard at all times
Skilled at working autonomously with minimal supervision, managing time effectively, prioritising tasks, and completing work efficiently.
Takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and residents
