Overview

The Gastevski Group is a family owned and operated company with several food, beverage and entertainment venues in Perth and Peel region. We are looking for reliable and motivated casual chef de parties/cooks to join our team at our new up-to-date venue, Lakelands Tavern.

Job Description

We are seeking Chef de Parties/Cooks

Key Duties

- Prepare meals to order from customers
- Monitoring and upholding orderly and hygienic work practices to ensure a premium food product
- Maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the kitchen
- Supervising production of function and catering menus as required
- Monitoring stock rotation when new stock fresh and frozen produce or dry store stock arrives
- Monitoring perishable stock to minimise wastage and prevent contamination
- Maintain food quality and presentation under pressure
- Report promptly maintenance and safety issues and ensure they are corrected
- Monitor portion control and production flow and correct where necessary
- Other duties as required by the business in the role of Chef

Key Responsibilities

- Keep abreast of food trends and seasonal produce available
- Supervising the kitchen to ensure maximum productivity and quality standards
- Meet budgeted targets for food and wage cost for the kitchen
- Resolving customer complaints to the guest’s satisfaction within your level of authority
- Maintaining excellent grooming and hygiene ensuring all grooming standards are met in relation to personal grooming and uniform presentation
- Complying with the Business Safety & Environment policies, initiatives and legislation
- Abiding by all Workplace Health, Safety and Hygiene regulations at all times

To be successful in these roles you will have

- 1 year or more experience working in a commercial venue (Chefs only)
- A passion for the Food and Beverage Industry
- Must be available for night and weekend shifts
- The ability to take direction and work as part of a team
- The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
