Offer description

The role:

Adbri Concrete is seeking an experienced Site Operations Manager to lead our Katherine operation, overseeing both our concrete plant and quarry sites. Based just a few hours south of Darwin, this is an outstanding opportunity for someone looking to step into a diverse operational leadership role while enjoying the lifestyle and career benefits of regional Northern Territory living.

This is a rare chance to take ownership of a well‐established operation, lead a close‐knit team, and gain exposure across multiple areas of the construction materials industry. You'll play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient and compliant operations while supporting major infrastructure, defence and community projects throughout the region.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a leader looking to broaden their operational management experience. You'll gain exposure to both concrete manufacturing and quarry operations, developing valuable skills across two key sectors of the construction materials industry.

Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate, and full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and support site personnel across concrete and quarry operations
* Promote and maintain a strong safety culture
* Conduct toolbox meetings and oversee daily operational activities
* Ensure compliance with site safety systems, mine management plans and operational procedures
* Manage contractor inductions, documentation and site access requirements
* Oversee contractor activities during crushing and quarry campaigns
* Support workforce performance, development and accountability
* Complete site audits, compliance activities and continuous improvement initiatives
* Act as the primary escalation point for operational issues
* Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors and local stakeholders
* Support the sales team through local customer engagement and lead identification

What We're Looking For:

We are open to candidates from a variety of industries and backgrounds. Industry‐specific experience is advantageous but not essential. We are looking for a capable leader with the right attitude and a genuine interest in learning the business.

To be successful, you'll bring:

* Previous operational or site management experience
* Strong people leadership skills
* A proactive safety mindset
* Experience managing teams and contractors
* Sound organisational and problem‐solving abilities
* Confidence working autonomously in a regional location
* A willingness to learn both concrete and quarry operations

* Easy access to some of Australia's most spectacular natural attractions
* Just a few hours from Darwin for weekend getaways and city amenities
* Rental assistance available for eligible candidates relocating to the region
