We are seeking an undergraduate law student to join our team in our Norwest office.
This is a part time role in which you will support our team of solicitors with diverse legal and administrative tasks. This is an ideal role for a law student looking to gain skills and experience while studying for a career in the legal profession.
The role will involve assisting with preparing and filing Court documents, sending correspondence, making phone calls, sorting and labelling financial documents, conducting legal research, performing numerical calculations, reviewing Court orders and summarising legal issues.
About you
As the ideal candidate, you have:
· Completed your first year of study in your Undergraduate University Law degree (preferred)
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Close attention to detail and the ability to work with precision
· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research tools
· Strong time management skills and the ability to organise work and prioritise deadlines
· Ability to work independently and in a team environment
· Confident, professional, and empathetic phone manner
· Willingness to learn, take notes and grow your skills and knowledge as you work
· An interest in Court processes, and in Family Law and helping our clients to begin the next chapter of their lives
