Alice Aircraft Maintenance & Services are currently recruiting for aAircraft Maintenance Engineer Apprentice to commence into aCertificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical)
As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Apprentice, you will support the maintenance, repair, and servicing of aircraft to ensure airworthiness and compliance with aviation safety regulations.
Under the guidance of licenced engineers, you will gain hands-on experience working on various aircraft systems, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and structural components.
This apprenticeship provides a structured learning environment combining on-the-job training with formal technical education.
While the advertised position is for a Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical), it is an option to complete the Diploma ofAeroskills (Mechanical) instead.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in routine inspections, scheduled maintenance, and unscheduled repairs of aircraft and components.
Learn to interpret technical manuals, maintenance procedures, and engineering drawings.
Support documentation and record-keeping for maintenance activities in accordance with regulatory and company standards.
Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly used and stored.
Shadow licenced engineers to observe troubleshooting techniques and defect rectification.
Attend and participate in classroom training and technical workshops as required by the apprenticeship program.
Requirements:
Proficient in math, science, and english.
Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
Ability to work in a team and follow instructions accurately.
Must meet medical and security clearance requirements for working in an airport or hangar environment.
Previous experience with mechanical or technical work (e.g., automotive, electronics) is an asset.
Enrolment or completion of CERT II in aero skills
