**The Role:**
As a Volunteer Visitor, you’ll be matched with an older person to offer regular, friendly social visits—either in their home or out and about for a short drive. Visits are shaped around shared interests and might include conversation, listening to music, playing simple games, or enjoying local scenery together. It’s a meaningful way to connect, slow down, and brighten someone’s week
**Our Client:**
Our client is a warm and gentle woman in her 80s who lives independently in her home in Newcomb. She moved from the Philippines in the 1980s and has called Geelong home ever since. Music brings her great comfort, and she enjoys walking to the shops to do her own grocery shopping.
She doesn’t get out as often as she’d like and would love the chance to go for a leisurely drive around the Geelong Botanic Gardens, taking in the scenery and fresh air on a nice day. A friendly face and a shared moment would mean so much to her.

**About You:**
* Lives in and around Newcomb or is happy to travel.
* Current drivers' licence, car and comprehensive insurance.
* Possess clear communication skills.
* Compassionate, patient and an excellent listener.
* Passionate about giving back to your community.
* Conducts yourself with open-mindedness and respect, ensuring the privacy, confidentiality, and dignity of our clients is always maintained.
* Comfortable using technology to provide feedback and connect with the Volunteer Program.
* Availability for a flexible six-month commitment.
**Time Commitment:**
2 hour per week or fortnight, Wednesday or Thursday between 10:00am - 2:00pm.
