Instrumental Music Teachers/Tutors
Learning Through Music are seeking enthusiastic, professional, experienced, energetic instrumental music teachers who share our passion of giving as many students as possible the opportunity to experience and enjoy music all within a fun and exciting environment.
Applicants who are multi skilled on different instruments are preferred.
Due to our growing music school, we are seeking applicants who are looking to make a career with teaching with us, who are dedicated and passionate to the industry.
Preference will be given to applicants who are flexible with work times and who are also available weekdays and evenings. Hours of work would be various times between 9am and 8pm weekdays and Saturdays 9am to 2pm. Work place locations are at various studios and schools across Metropolitan Adelaide.
Salary / contractor plus part / full time positions available to the right candidates.
Duties and Responsibilities
To deliver high-quality tuition to individuals and small groups.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with students and parents.
Able to perform and participate in workshops, concerts and other sessions.
To be able to complete student reports and report to management your student progress.
Qualifications and Skills
- Tertiary qualifications in music or excellent understanding self-taught teachers are welcome to apply.
- Drivers License is essential.
- DCSI Clearance – Working with Children
- RAN Training
- First Aid training an advantage
Teacher Qualities
- Applicants should be responsible, well organised and well presented.
- A warm, bright, passionate, patient and approachable personality towards young children and parents.
- Good communication skills with young students and parents.
- Excellent communication, organisational and team player skills.
- Have an effective method in teaching their instrument which produces good results.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Ability to collaborate with other staff and teachers.
- Ability to teach and stimulate junior students. Experience of working with children is highly preferred.
- Fluent speaking of English is essential.
- Flexibility is essential.
- Basic office skills with MS Office and Excel.
- Can-do working attitude.
- Mentoring and inspiring other educators by leading quality practice.
