Operations / Project Manager for Joinery Company
Marine & High-End Residential Projects – Coomera Marine Precinct
Lead operations in a role that balances technical expertise with effective project management.
We're looking for a confident, capable Operations / Project Manager to join our close-knit team delivering high-quality joinery and fitout projects across the marine and high-end residential sectors. Based in the Coomera Marine Precinct, we work on some of the most exciting vessels and homes on the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Sydney.
This is a hands-on, highly autonomous role where you'll be leading from the front and genuinely making your mark.
What you'll be doing:
Overseeing day-to-day operations across multiple joinery projects
Taking responsibility for project outcomes from start to finish
Working closely with the Director and Factory Foreman to manage workflow between the office, workshop, and site
Conducting site visits to check measurements, readiness, and progress
Monitoring project milestones, keeping everything on track
Scheduling staff and managing timelines
Scheduling deliveries and installation in coordination with builders or other trades
Serving as the main point of contact for clients and stakeholders - providing progress updates, answering queries, and managing expectations. Communicating changes, delays, or issues quickly and professionally
Managing procurement of materials, scheduling of deliveries, and coordination with suppliers
Reviewing and approving timesheets and materials invoices
Using software such as Microsoft Projects, Xero Projects, Excel, to track time and costs
What we're looking for:
A strong background in project management with trade experience (cabinetmaking, shopfitting, or similar is essential)
Marine industry experience is a bonus but not essential
Proven ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities and deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients, industry professionals, suppliers and team members
A natural communicator who can lead, collaborate, and make decisions
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
Confident with project software and time tracking systems
Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and knows how to get things done
A genuinely supportive and collaborative team
A diverse project mix — from luxury yachts to high-end residential builds
The chance to shape the role and contribute to how we work
Stability, variety, and the freedom to do your best work without being micromanaged
Based in the Coomera Marine Precinct with great people and projects
You'll be joining a close-knit team, working on a diverse range of projects in a role where you'll have the independence to take ownership of your work and play a key role in shaping how projects are delivered. Based in the Coomera Marine Precinct, this is a great place to bring your skills, passion, and leadership to life.
If you have a keen eye for detail, a proactive mindset, and thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented environment, we'd love to hear from you
