A newly created leadership opportunity has arisen within our People and Culture division for an experienced professional in Emergency Management and Occupational Violence Prevention. This role is ideal for someone passionate about developing safe, prepared and resilient health service environments. Work closely with managers and committees across BRHS to strengthen emergency response capability, reduce occupational violence risk, and ensure compliance with legislative and industry standards. The Contract: Ongoing, Full Time, 80 hours per fortnight with monthly ADO The Position: In this pivotal role, you will lead the improvement, implementation and ongoing management of BRHS's Emergency Preparedness Plan and Occupational Violence Prevention Plan. You will provide expert guidance on emergency management systems, training, risk assessments, and OV incident response, ensuring BRHS meets all relevant legislative and policy requirements including AS 4083 Planning for Emergencies in Health Services. You will manage and mentor the BRHS Security Team, build strong relationships across departments, and play an active role in Emergency Management, OV Prevention, and OHS Committees. This role is critical in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of BRHS staff, patients, contractors and our community. What You Bring: * Qualification in Emergency Management or Occupational Health & Safety. * Five years of relevant experience in emergency management or OHS (health sector desirable). * Strong knowledge of emergency and OHS legislation, emergency systems, and security infrastructure (CCTV, duress, alarms). * Proven experience leading teams and developing safety frameworks, plans, policies and procedures. * High‑level communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
