About the Role
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the Financial Accountant will lead and mentor a small team while managing financial reporting, compliance, and business insights. This role provides exposure to international reporting standards while directly influencing local business success.
Duties
- Lead accounts payable, receivable, and bookkeeping functions
- Prepare monthly financial/board reports, budgets, and statutory returns
- Manage year-end reporting, audits, and compliance obligations
- Partner with senior management on cost analysis and investment decisions
- Drive process improvement across financial controls and reporting
- Mentor and support junior finance team members
Skills & Experience
- CPA (or equivalent) qualification – membership required
- 3–5 years’ financial accounting experience
- Strong technical knowledge of reporting and compliance
- Experience with large ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
- Excellent understanding of Australian accounting standards and tax requirements
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Proven leadership and collaborative style
