Our industry-leading client in the energy sector is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to analyze training needs and designing engaging, effective, and scalable learning solutions. This position will play a critical role in evaluating current learning gaps and developing content for a wide range of business units, including Power Grid Operations, Natural Gas, Nuclear, and Supply Chain.
Candidates must have hands-on experience with needs analysis, Articulate, and formal learning evaluation methodologies such as Kirkpatrick's levels of evaluation.
Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $34 - $44 / hr. w2
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive Training Needs Analyses to identify skill gaps and prioritize learning objectives.
* Design and develop engaging training content including instructor-led training (ILT), eLearning (eLT) modules, lesson plans, and training videos.
* Utilize adult learning theories and apply Kirkpatrick Levels 1–4 evaluation strategies to assess training effectiveness.
* Collaborate with program managers and subject matter experts across departments to align learning outcomes with business needs.
* Maintain and update training content in accordance with business changes and regulatory requirements.
* Interface with the Learning Management System (LMS) and other internal data systems.
* Pilot, test, and troubleshoot eLearning modules for performance and user experience improvements.
* Ensure training materials adhere to corporate branding and instructional design templates.
Required Qualifications:
* Proven experience conducting training needs analysis and curriculum development.
* Demonstrated proficiency with Articulate (Storyline or Rise).
* Strong understanding and hands-on experience implementing learning evaluation methodologies (Kirkpatrick model preferred).
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convert technical information into accessible training.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Preferred Experience:
* Experience developing content for enterprise topics like finance, new projects, and storm support initiatives.
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
