South Ward Nurse Unit Manager – Permanent Full Time
The Hills Private Hospital is a 111-bed private hospital located in The Hills District of Sydney. The hospital offers both inpatient and day programs in rehabilitation, geriatric medicine and psychiatry.

Our multi-disciplinary team includes Rehabilitation Specialists, Geriatricians, Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists and Dieticians who all have a major input into the treatment and ongoing rehabilitation of our patients.
We are seeking a highly passionate, dynamic and engaging Nurse Unit Manager to manage our team on a full-time basis in our Rehabilitation Ward.
As South Ward Nurse Unit Manager, you will provide operational direction for the ward by ensuring the promotion of high-quality clinical care for our patients, and efficient and effective fiscal management. As the leader of this ward, you will be a key part of the hospital's management team and will provide support to the Director of Nursing. Key to success in this role is the ability to manage effectively – human, financial and material resources and ensuring the delivery of Safety & Quality care standards.
* Current registration with APHRA
* Registered Nurse with at least 5 years' experience in sub-acute medical/surgical
* Previous experience in a leadership capacity and/or as a Nurse Unit Manager
* Knowledge of NSQHS Standards
* Previous rehabilitation experience with an understanding of AROC/FIM being desirable
* Post graduate qualification in management (or working towards)
* Well-developed leadership, workforce planning and management skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to plan and prioritise
* Ability to promote positive team morale and an embracing attitude to change
