I am recruiting for a government health service client seeking an APS6 Clinician to deliver counselling and mental health support to current and former ADF members and their families.
You will work in a multidisciplinary team and deliver evidence‑based clinical care. Supervision and professional development are provided.
Key details
* APS6 equivalent role
* Labour hire engagement
* Darwin, NT
* 37.5 hours per week
* Limited work from home, up to one day per week
* Initial engagement up to 24 months, with extension options
Your new role
* Provide intake, assessment, risk management, and counselling
* Deliver individual, couple, and family therapy
* Manage a clinical caseload and maintain accurate records
* Respond to complex presentations and crisis situations
* Liaise with families, providers, and internal stakeholders
What you'll need to succeed
* Experience in trauma‑informed, client‑centred practice
* Strong judgement and calm decision‑making
* Clear written and verbal communication
* Confidence using clinical systems
Mandatory requirements
One of the following:
* Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, or Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration
* Social Worker with AASW membership
* Masters‑level counsellor with PACFA or ACA registration
Plus:
* Australian citizenship
* Working with Children or Vulnerable People check
* Ability to obtain Baseline security clearance
