About The Role
The Senior Finance Business Partner works directly with schools and will:
* Support the development and delivery of financial management training material to support schools.
* Assist with the development and communication of school accounting policies and procedures.
* The position is a key contact for schools in terms of financial policy and procedures.
Responsibilities Include
* This requires an understanding of financial management practices affecting schools and involves:
* Undertaking analysis of financial management practices and financial performance of schools.
* Providing financial management advice to school based staff.
* Monitoring the level of financial management competencies within schools.
* Providing appropriate training and development programs to enhance financial management skills.
* Working effectively in a team environment.
About You
To be successful in this position, it would be highly desirable to have the following skills and experience:
* Sound knowledge of contemporary financial management issues and strategies impacting schools.
* Ability to interrogate and analyse school financial management systems - Agresso and OneSchool Finance.
* Ability to deliver training programs relating to school financial management, including in an online format.
* High level communication skills, both written and oral, with ability to influence customer behaviour and implement change.
* Demonstrated leadership and management skills appropriate to achieving outcomes within negotiated timeframes.
