Bunker's Hill State School are seeking a reliable and tech-savvy Computer Assistant to support the maintenance and performance of the schools IT infrastructure. This role is responsible for routine maintenance and repair of school IT devices, ensuring minimal downtime and
optimal access to digital resources. The successful candidate will provide support for networking services, collaborate with the Business Manager and Principal to enhance digital capabilities, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the schools technology environment.
This is a Permanent Part-Time (0.18 FTE) position working 14 hours a fortnight.

About the role:
The Computer Assistant undertakes routine maintenance and repair of IT facilities in the school. They provide support services for networking to enable wider access and reduce downtime of computing facilities in schools. They work closely with the school's Business Manager and Principal to make decisions and determine actions to maintain and improve the school's digital capabilities.
Some of the key responsabilities include:
* Performing regular maintenance and repairs on computers and related equipment.
* Support installation of new equipment and software.
* Ensure a safe working environment and proper operation of equipment.
* Provide technical assistance for networking computers and devices.
* Develop and implement procedures for safe equipment use.
* Manage stock, order parts, and maintain records.
* Maintain tools and equipment for repair services.
