Job Description:
Clinical Nurse - Child Health is a rewarding role that offers an opportunity to work in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families. The successful candidate will provide expert child health knowledge and care for women, children, and families receiving care under the Ngarrama Midwifery Group Practice.
This involves role modeling and application of the principles of contemporary evidence-based family-centered care, education, leadership, and portfolio management.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
2. Support change management principles by providing culturally sensitive support, guidance, mentoring, preceptorship, role-modeling and promoting cooperation and collaborative teamwork.
3. Apply advanced clinical nursing expertise, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, to deliver a high standard of family-centered care.
