Position Overview:
We are in search of a diligent and dynamic Assistant Accountant to join the finance team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of a rapidly expanding and dynamic organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Preparation and lodgement of BAS NZ
2. Data analysis for core business components (e.g., freight and warehousing charges)
3. Assistance in preparing cashflow forecasts and managing FX requirements
4. Bank reconciliations for AU, NZ, and US bank accounts
5. General ledger reconciliations
6. End-to-end management of Accounts Payables & Receivables
7. Preparation of payments for domestic and international suppliers
8. Debt collection and follow-up on outstanding payments from customers
9. Processing remittances, invoices, and discounts on claims
10. Handling credit card reconciliations and banking activities
11. Organisation of monthly and quarterly client purchase reports
12. Addressing client calls and resolving outstanding queries
13. Assists with regular System’s Upgrades
14. Updating the general ledger for AU, NZ, and US accounts
Requirements:
15. Bachelor’s degree in accounting
16. Previous experience in accounting roles, preferably within the retail sector
17. Proficiency in accounting software MYOB Advance and MS Excel
18. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
19. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes quickly.
20. Excellent communication and teamwork skills
