This role involves ensuring that metadata schemes and information management standards are upheld across all audiovisual formats. As a Senior Accessioning Officer – Collection Data Quality, you will contribute to the administration of the Accessioning Matters and Corrections Inbox, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of audiovisual accessioning and technical skills in both analogue and digital formats.
Key Responsibilities
1. Review newly created catalogue and name authority records for adherence to established metadata standards.
2. Provide advice on Accessioning processes to the Accessioning team as required.
The successful candidate will demonstrate their capacity against the following selection criteria:
* In-depth collection accessioning and technical knowledge of audiovisual material in both analogue and digital formats.
* Demonstrated experience working in Australia's audiovisual industries or curatorial sectors.
* Proven ability to review data for adherence to established standards.
* Effective communication and negotiation skills for developing productive working relationships with staff at all levels.
* Strong organisational skills with ability to work independently, set priorities, and show initiative.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Relevant tertiary qualification in a related cultural or industry environment.
* Tertiary qualification preferably in Library, Archive, or Museum studies.
