THE POSITION
The Communications Manager position supports delivery of day-to-day results for a group of clients within the Luxury Travel team. The role is a valuable opportunity for a candidate to gain experience working with some of the world's top luxury travel brands and be an integral member of Australia's leading luxury communications agency.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
* Tertiary qualification
* 5+ years PR experience, ideally with luxury brands
* Great team management and organisational skills
* A great collaborator able to manage multiple relationships and stakeholders
* Strong media contacts, excellent writing and communications
* Proven success in delivering campaigns, either in-house or for clients
* Driven and motivated, able to work well under pressure
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work as part of a team to service a key group of BLACK clients in the Luxury Travel industry. Responsible for management of an Account Coordinator and a key group of BLACK clients in the luxury travel category.
Client Management
* Development of communication strategies for clients in partnership with the AD & Division Head, either based on their seasonal objectives and product priorities or built from the client brief and KPI's
* Responsible for day-to-day client management, weekly meetings, and the building of positive client-agency relationshipsOverview of client work systems including WIPs and reporting etc
Press Office and Comms
* Development of strong relationships with media network, celebrities and KOL's
* Identification of editorial opportunities and media initiatives for clients to optimise PR outcomes 'above and beyond' briefs
* Event management responsibilities which may include event concept ideas, guest list and RSVP management, on-the-ground support
* Pitching of product launches and story ideas to media
* KOL's and KOL content management in line with client briefs and KPI's
* Market insights – thorough understanding of the luxury landscape and broader media industry.
* Maintaining agency standards across all interactions.
Team Management
* Development of direct report/s; role, work flow and motivation
* Leadership through clear direction and supervision
* Management of producers and suppliers
* Training and development
