With continued year-on-year growth and an ever-expanding, highly-innovative and best-in-class product portfolio, our client is looking to expand their hire Assistant Territory Managers in the Orthopaedic Hip and Knee sales team in the South Australia region.
Job Description
· Assist the Territory Managers to maximise sales by maintaining existing and developing new customers in line with the available product and to fit customer needs
· Assist the Territory Managers in development of territory sales plans based on area saturation for a particular product, potential growth, market feedback and competitor activities
· Attend theatre to assist surgeons and theatre staff in the most effective application of products
· Manage territories where incumbents are absent on a need's basis
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, their F&B's and application in line with customer expectations and in order to demonstrate how customer needs can be met
· Develop strong working relationships with key hospital contacts; Nursing Unit Managers, Surgeons, Registrars, to maximise cross-selling opportunities and understand particular preferences and needs
· Conduct in-service training programs on the company's products in conjunction with the Clinical Nurse Consultant
Qualifications
· Demonstrated Product/Industry knowledge and/or the ability to gain that knowledge to build effective relationships with customers and stakeholders
· Experience and exposure to sales negotiation and business development practices including territory planning, customer management and lead generation and conversion
· Presentation and communication skills to effectively build relationships with surgeons, other key customers, stakeholders and senior members of the community and government
· Ability to work effectively as part of a sales team
· Exposure to financial analysis, budgets and sales forecasting requirements
Desirable
· Sales experience in a medical and/or technology-related industry with a demonstrated track-record of success in sales and driving growth through new business acquisition
· Tertiary qualifications in a related science or technology field
