Our team is committed to delivering benchmark levels of business performance that have underpinned our growth over the last 10 years.Due to our continued growth, we are seeking to add another skilled, accomplished and enthusiastic Senior Fire Systems Technician to put their stamp on how Fire System services are delivered to our clients.What you will be doingPerforming comprehensive testing of fire alarm systems, fire sprinkler systems, gas systems and other fire safety measures as required by AS1851-2012 (Monthly, 6 monthly & Annual etc)Conducting regular inspections and generating detailed reports to document the condition and functionality of fire protection systemsProviding technical support and guidance to FPS staff, ensuring their full understanding of AS1851 requirements and best practicesParticipating in ongoing training and professional development of the testing teamTroubleshooting and resolving any issues of essential fire measures as requiredAbility to use UPTICKAdhering to all WHS requirements for the company and each client site as directedConduct or assist in maintenance to essential fire systemsYou will be able to demonstrate your ability to work as part of a team, and are customer focused.
The role will require you to work autonomously in a high-volume setting.What we are looking forMinimum 5 years of experience as a fire systems technician, with a strong understanding of AS1851, fire alarm systems, sprinklers, fire doors, extinguishers, hose reels and other fire protection equipmentDemonstrated expertise in testing, inspecting, and maintaining fire safety systems in compliance with relevant Australian Standards and regulationsExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve technical issuesStrong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with clients and team membersValid driver's licenceCert II or III in Fire Protection Inspection and TestingWhite cardSprinkler Fitter Tradesman (Ideal)What we offerAt Fire Protect Systems, we are committed to providing our employees with a supportive and rewarding work environment.
