About the role
Support your local community and contribute to critical healthcare services as a Pathology Collector with SA Pathology's Regional Services team. In this vital hands-on role, you will undertake specimen collection from patients, including venepuncture and paediatric sampling, ensuring quality and accuracy in every interaction. You'll also manage specimen preparation, perform courier duties, and assist with the smooth functioning of diagnostic services across the region.
Working with a collaborative team under general direction, you'll operate across laboratory, collection centre, and community settings. Your role will involve interacting with patients, clinicians, and lab staff—ensuring specimens are collected, labelled, transported, and processed in line with clinical protocols, quality systems, and safety procedures. About You
You are a motivated, detail-focused individual with a customer service mindset and the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
* Relevant experience in specimen collection or within a pathology laboratory setting
* Strong communication and organisational skills with a commitment to accuracy and patient care
* Proficient computer and data entry skills with ability to manage multiple tasks
* Working With Children Check (WWCC), National Police Clearance (NPC), Class C Driver's Licence, and subject to immunisation requirements
