This pivotal role combines hands-on project and engineering management activities. You will lead a growing team of project engineers, collaborating across departments to meet governance requirements while delivering high-quality outcomes.
The Role:
* Coordinate planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects across disciplines and business functions.
* Plan and execute engineering design reviews.
* Establish systems for project planning and execution, including earned value management.
* Contribute to engineering management plans, configuration management plans, and review processes.
* Ensure all engineering work complies with applicable standards.
* Develop an engineering skills plan, identify gaps, and implement strategies.
* Manage resourcing across multiple projects, resolving conflicts and prioritizing needs.
* Support recruitment and onboarding of new team members.
* Mentor and upskill team members to foster a 'business as usual' approach to project management.
* Contribute to continuous improvements in company processes and business systems.
* Develop tools that support stakeholders to monitor project execution and identify emerging issues.
