Project Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and executing integrated engineering projects across hardware and software development teams.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and efficient project delivery. Your strong foundation in project management fundamentals, effective communication skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments make you an ideal candidate for this role.
This is an entry-level position, suitable for professionals with 1-3 years of experience in project management, preferably in the aerospace, defence or high-technology sector. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and develop your skills in a dynamic environment.
Key responsibilities include:
* Coordinate and support the delivery of integrated projects across engineering, manufacturing and test teams.
* Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules, budgets and resourcing plans using tools like Microsoft Project and Excel.
* Participate in stakeholder meetings, stand-ups and design reviews to track progress and identify risks or blockers.
* Contribute to the preparation of status reports, risk registers and project documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
* Apply project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) as appropriate to the scope and nature of individual projects.
* Facilitate communication across teams to ensure alignment of goals, timelines and deliverables.
* Support compliance with relevant regulatory, security and safety requirements during the program lifecycle.
Required skills and qualifications include:
* Strong proficiency with project planning tools (e.g. Microsoft Project, Excel) and collaborative platforms.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across diverse teams.
* Familiarity with aerospace, defence or complex product development life cycles.
* Demonstrated ability to manage timelines, risks and stakeholder expectations.
* Australian citizenship and ability to obtain an NV1 security clearance.
* Formal certification in project management (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, AgilePM).
* Experience working with hardware/software integrated product teams.
* Exposure to systems engineering environments or unmanned aircraft development programs.
* Knowledge of defence project environments or regulated development standards.
This role offers a competitive salary range of $140,000 - $180,000 per annum, plus additional benefits such as professional development opportunities and a dynamic work environment.
