**Must-Haves**:
- Certificate III or higher in Disability, Individual Support, or Mental Health.
- NDIS Workers Screening Card.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification.
- Current Australian QLD Driver's Licence.
- Own reliable car with current registration and comprehensive insurance.
- Completion of the NDIS Workers Orientation Module (or willingness to obtain).
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Promoting self-care and independence.
- Fostering meaningful community engagement.
- Teaching life skills
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals
- Encouraging the development of personal skills
- Providing physical and emotional support
- Assisting with household tasks and personal care
- Administering medication
- Accompanying clients to appointments and social activities
- Monitoring and reporting changes in clients' health or behavior
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation of care provided
**Desirable**:
- Additional certifications or higher education in mental health or disability are highly regarded.
- Comfortable supporting with personal care needs.
- Spiral cord injury experience.
