The Opportunity The Manager, Land Access provides strategic leadership across land access for VicGrid's transmission projects. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Land and Property, the role leads voluntary and compulsory access activities, ensuring timely, compliant access to support delivery. Working closely with project teams, you'll build strong landholder and stakeholder relationships and translate complex requirements into practical strategies that balance commercial, public and landholder interests, enabling efficient project outcomes aligned to schedules and broader organisational objectives. What you will deliver * Coordinate land access across VicGrid's major projects, ensuring timely, compliant access while minimising disruption to rural landholders' operations and land use. * Lead negotiations of land access agreements with landholders and legal representatives, managing issues and escalating complex matters as required. * Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to manage land access officers, track negotiation progress, and provide clear reporting to senior project leaders. * Oversee end-to-end land access processes, including systems, payments, pre-start requirements, transition to delivery partners, and post-access reconciliation activities such as reinstatement. What you will bring * Proven experience delivering land access and land assembly for major infrastructure projects, including implementing Land Access Plans across complex, linear developments. * Strong knowledge of Victorian land access frameworks, including LACOP, planning and approvals processes, and relevant legislation such as the Electricity Industry Act and Land Acquisition and Compensation Act. * Ability to operate within regulatory and governance frameworks, with experience supporting approvals and engaging with government planning and approvals bodies. * Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with experience managing sensitive landholder issues and building effective relationships across landholders, regulators and project partners.
