Graduate Mine Geologist role at Vault Minerals, Darlot Gold Mine, offers hands-on technical experience, FIFO roster, and career growth in a dynamic, expanding gold mining company.
Your role
Responsibilities
* Assisting with underground mapping and sampling to minimise ore loss and dilution and increase geological understanding of the deposit
* Completing stope and airleg inspections
* Learning to provide mining direction to ensure optimal ore position for stoping
* Ensuring all data captured is recorded accurately
* Assisting in entry of production data and preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly reports
* Liaising with Mine Geologists to assist with ROM ore stockpile management to optimise the blend into the Process Plant
* Reporting daily grade control activities
* Undertaking diamond core processing, including logging, mark-up and orientation, sampling, and other related measurements
* Working closely with experienced professionals to build a strong industry foundation and gain exposure to a broad range of technical and practical tasks
About you
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in Geology (essential)
* Current C-class WA driver's licence
* Ability to observe safety rules and regulations
* Good physical health
* Organised, self-motivated, and able to work with limited supervision
* Ability to work as part of a small and autonomous team
* Effective communication skills with staff at all levels
* Vacation work experience within the mining industry, ideally within gold mining, is highly regarded
* Full Australian work rights
