Senior Manager, Regulatory Compliance and Risk
This is a critical leadership role for a seasoned compliance professional with expertise in regulatory breach management.
The Senior Manager will lead the Line 2 Compliance function to ensure Marsh McLennan Pacific meets relevant regulatory requirements. The incumbent will provide expert compliance advice across the organization on regulatory requirements, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and develop the Regulatory Breach Reporting and Compliance team in providing expert compliance advisory services and support on compliance incidents and breach reporting.
* Develop and enhance comprehensive incident and breach management frameworks, policies, and processes to enable effective management of compliance risks.
* Undertake compliance assessments of compliance incidents to support regulatory breach assessment processes and present compliance assessments to relevant stakeholders.
* Assist in providing compliance advice, insights, themes, and trends to key stakeholders, including boards, committees, and other forums in relation to incidents and breaches.
* Prepare reports to regulators in respect of investigations, breaches, and responding to regulatory requests for information.
* Lead the governance of relevant forums, including preparation of supporting documentation, preparation of minutes, and reporting to relevant stakeholders.
Requirements:
* Experienced compliance or legal professional with proven leadership exposure in regulatory compliance, incident, and breach management within the Australian financial services industry preferred.
* Experience working in or providing services to a regulated financial services organization with a strong understanding of regulatory obligations in particular superannuation, investments, administration, advice, and insurance broking and the ability to interpret and apply associated legislative requirements.
* Ability to rapidly analyze and communicate complex matters in a commercially sensible way.
* Ability to provide strategic advice to senior stakeholders on compliance incidents.
* Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
* Sound knowledge and understanding of risk management systems, frameworks, and processes particularly in respect of incident and breach reporting.
