Account Executive – General Insurance (SME)
Shepparton/Goulburn Valley | Hybrid Flexibility Available

We're working with a well-established, growing insurance brokerage in the Goulburn Valley region that's looking to bring on an Account Executive to manage and develop a portfolio of SME clients.
This role is ideal for:
* An experienced Account Executive looking for a stable, supportive environment, or
* An Assistant Account Executive / Broker Assistant ready to step up into a client-facing broking role
If you're based in or around Shepparton the expectation is that you'll be in 5 days a week, if you're within a reasonable commuting distance there's flexibility to work in a hybrid arrangement. (2-3 days in the office).
You'll be responsible for managing a portfolio of SME clients across a range of general insurance products, while delivering high-quality service and building long-term relationships.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing renewals, endorsements, and new business opportunities
* Providing tailored insurance advice to SME clients
* Liaising with insurers to negotiate terms and coverage
* Identifying opportunities to grow and retain your portfolio
* Working closely with internal support staff to ensure seamless service delivery
About You
* Experience in general insurance broking (SME focus preferred)
* Tier 1 qualification (or working towards it)
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* A proactive mindset with the ability to manage your own portfolio
* For step-up candidates: solid exposure to renewals, quoting, and client interaction
