About this role:
This is a great opportunity to take your career to the next level as an Operations/Facility Manager. You will be responsible for providing exceptional client service, fostering strong tenant relationships and overseeing various aspects of facilities management.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the facilities space as a coordinator or assistant, with aspirations to take on a role of greater responsibility. They will possess excellent communication skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to work.
* Conduct Weekly Presentation Inspections for all assets.
* Conduct Monthly Property Inspections for all assets.
* Be the primary contact for technical and maintenance advice across a portfolio of retail centers.
* Procure services to ensure all technical, risk and statutory requirements are satisfied and within budget.
* Manage essential services, including air conditioning, lifts, and fire safety.
* Oversee building contracts/service providers.
* Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, tenants, and tenant representatives.
* Ensure timely delivery of compliance, risk, and sustainability targets and KPIs.
* Ensure optimal operation of buildings to design.
* Detailed monitoring and management of energy and water consumption.
* Independently manage smaller-scale capital expenditure improvements.
* Prepare detailed monthly activity reports.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will have
* 2 plus years of commercial/retail/industrial experience in the facilities and/or property industry.
* A building trade background is preferred but not essential.
* Significant work experience and demonstrated success in a similar role or related industry.
* Effective communication skills – written communications are succinct.
* Ability to analyze and resolve basic issues.
* Demonstrates initiative and a proactive approach to work.
* Supports manager/team decisions.
* Proven track record of contract and contractor management.
* Must have a valid driver's license and own reliable form of transport.
