Location: Blackwater Remuneration/Benefit: Attractive Salary Housing Allowance 27k Overtime About the role: Aurizon is currently seeking a committed Track Worker to join our Infrastructure Maintenance team in Blackwater. You will be working in a small team to carry out infrastructure track maintenance, ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, values teamwork and has a proactive attitude toward safety and improvement. Your key responsibilities will be to: Facilitate, lead and contribute achievement of safety and environmental performance targets by actively promoting safe behaviour, implementing strategies to minimise the risk of injury or loss. Undertake infrastructure track maintenance to specified quality and consistency. Participate in continuous improvement activities and contribute to the development of new work practices. Report on actual work performed against the scheduled work program. About you: an experienced Track Worker with knowledge of track maintenance. Ability to work 9-day fortnight, Mon to Thurs 8.5hrs day, Fri 8hrs and Mon to Thurs 8.5hrs day. 'C' Class Driver Licence (Mandatory) 'HR' or ‘MR’ Class Driver Licence huge advantage Cert III Rail Infrastructure or willing to obtain Please note, this is a residential role based out of Blackwater. The successful applicant will be required to travel as such for training and some work requirements across the CQCN (Rockhampton, Gladstone, Mackay, Merinda) with the majority of the time in Blackwater district.
