At Cargill our Food Safety& Quality operations teams work side by side with operations and supply chain to drive a quality culture to produce safe, high quality products right first time, every time.
We have an exciting full-time, permanent opportunity for you to join our Newcastle facility, as a Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory (FSQR) Lead. Based in Newcastle, you will be reporting to the FSQR Leader Asia Pacific, and play a pivotal role in the effective implementation of all FSQR systems. The role will provide operational FSQR leadership for our Newcastle and Footscray Oilseed Crush Plants and Refinery, and oversee the FSQR operations of South & South-East Asia business.
With a strong technical, food manufacturing background, your strengths in project management, people management and change leadership will play a key role to drive innovation and business growth in a high risk and complex environment. The role needs you to be a compelling communicator with an ability to forge strong business partnerships that will help drive the food safety and quality culture to the next level.
Key Accountabilities
Implement FSQR programs to maintain food safety leadership position;
Manage the release of safe, consistent quality meeting customer specifications and regulatory compliant products;
Manage FSQR audits, identify risks and plan and implement prevention activities as well as customer issue resolution;
Drive right, first time, every time through effective and standardized risk management and implementation of FSQR standards and procedures (including quality assurance, lab and regulatory compliance management);
Identifying opportunities for improvement, with a focus on in-process controls, to drive a Zero Harm quality culture, setting clear goals aligned to business strategy;
Talent management, training and development of a high performing FSQR team; About You
Experience and skills Tertiary qualifications in Food Science or a related discipline will be a strong advantage; 3 years+ experience in Quality or Technical Services within the food industry; Extensive knowledge of all food safety regulations and legislations, Excellent project management and food manufacturing plant knowledge; Excellent knowledge of quality assurance principles, HACCP and GMP; Demonstrated knowledge of quality and food Safety standards/systems FSSC 22000; Demonstrated auditing skills and experience in high risk food production; Strong interpersonal, leadership and people management skills; Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and management skills; Demonstrated ability to challenge the status quo and change management skills; Competent in Microsoft Office suite;
